I am a 22 year old male living in Santa Monica, California. I used to have a fear of dogs up to the age of 7 or 8. I became familiarized with the species pretty quickly at around 10 years old due to a close friend having a very calm-natured dog in his home. My fondness for dogs in general grew as time and my personal relationships with different dogs grew due to lucky circumstances with people surrounding me. I found myself gravitating towards dogs when in social situations and developed close relationships with different dogs over the next 10 years or so. Eventually, my friends and family began taking note of the fact that even the more aggressive dogs seemed to be calmer in my presence. I believe my interpersonal skills with other people and my ability to understand the body language and facial expression of dogs would make me a very good dog trainer. I owned a dog for six months as well and spent so much time studying during that period that I truly discovered my passion for dogs and their most minor discrepancies. I would like to apply my training with personal clients to all aspects of improving the relationship between pet and owner so that both can benefit from each other to the full extent.
