Cassandra Jaimi Mohr

My name is Cassandra and I am 22 years old. I live in southern Michigan along with my amazing fiancé of 6 years and a wonderful 4 year old little boy.
I have been in the veterinary field for about 5 years. The longer I am in the field, the more I realize what I need to do and what my purpose is. Many canines comes into my clinic with no socialization, no manners, unable to be restrained, no confidence and overall scared of new places and people. Therefore, making our job much harder and dangerous. I have decided to take a turn in the med field to redirect my love and passion for animals to train owners and their dogs.
Becoming a dog trainer is much more than just training dog owners and their dogs, it is teaching and educating them on communication, the body language of their dog, how to interact with their dog, redirecting behavior with positive reinforcement instead of hitting and yelling. Explain how to use tools properly instead of zapping your dog when they are doing something you don’t like. Building more relationships with people and more importantly building relationships with human and mans best friend. Dogs play such an important role in our lives, I want to be a part of continuing to improve the life of dogs along with us.
